WHAT
DO I KNOW ABOUT JESUS?
I
saw Jesus in a dream when I was three years old. My mother was
pregnant with twins and she was ill with something that people called
goiter. I remember sitting with her on the back step of our house.
All of a sudden she was coughing and blood was spurting from her
mouth. I ran to get my dad. He took her to the hospital. That
night I (at three years of age) knelt down and prayed to God my
mother told me about. I spoke to God who I did not know and asked
Him simply to please heal my mother and send her home. That night I
saw in the whole sky, a portrait of Jesus. How did I know it was
Jesus? I just knew or maybe He told me but I don't remember.
I
wanted to see God and He showed Himself to me as Jesus! Wonderful!
My mother was healed and came home with twins. I did not remember
that dream until I was 38 years old when I accepted Him as my Lord
and Saviour. My friend Vivian was telling me about how she saw
Jesus one day in school as she was going up the stairs to her room.
I wanted to laugh about it but then I remembered my dream (night
vision) of Jesus. He said to me "I have big shoulders."
What the Word is from Isaiah 9:6-7 And
the government shall be upon His shoulders. For
unto us a child is born and unto us a Son is given: and the
government shall be upon His shoulders: and His Name shall be called
Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, The
Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government shall be no end,
upon His Kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and
with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of
Hosts will perform this.

While reading the scriptures I remembered how Jesus is also known as
the WORD. In the scriptures the Word of THE LORD appeared unto
Jonah, the WORD OF THE LORD appeared to Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah,
Job, Joshua, Moses, on and on and on. Starting in the Book of John:
In
the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD
was God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any
thing made that was made. In Him was Life; and the Life was the
light of men. And the light shines
in
darkness; and the darkness comprehends it not. In
Revelation 19:ll And
I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon
him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He does judge
and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were
many crowns; and He had a Name written, that no man knew, but He
Himself. And He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood; and His
Name is called the WORD OF GOD.

Jesus,
the King
When
Jesus came upon the earth as a baby, He ushered in the Kingdom of Heaven. He said at the beginning of His ministry Repent,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
He is the King of Heaven. We who have accepted Jesus as our Saviour
and have given Him the Lordship of our lives, enter into that
Kingdom. It is a theocratic Kingdom; the law is indisputable and
truth; This King owns all the Heavens and all the earth to give to
His subjects at His will. He is coming back again very soon to rule
and reign for 1000 years and then He shall burn up this earth and
Heaven and replace it with a new one where He dwells! Praise Him.

COLOSSIANS
2:15 And
having spoiled principalities and powers He made a show of them
openly, triumphing over them in it.
The CROSS is the CENTER of sorrow and lowest depth of shame to SOME.
Jesus died a criminal's death. He died on the CROSS of a felon and
pours out His BLOOD with thieves as companions. In the midst of
mockery, gist, scorn and blasphemy, He gives up the ghost. Earth
rejects Him. Darkness envelops the day- the CROSS- a shame to many;
to us, through the eye of FAITH, it is no shame except to those who
nailed the SAVIOUR there. THE CROSS, in faith, we see MERCY;
(remember when Jesus was resurrected two angels sat in His tome; one
at His feet, the other at His head: exactly as the MERCY SEAT of the
Ark of the Covenant, protecting the Mercy Seat), we mourn a dying
SAVIOUR but LIFE AND IMMORTALITY (eternal life) came from this death
on THE CROSS. FAITH sees the CROSS as a token of GLORY. Man spit
on Him, but believers, having angels for their companions, BOW DOWN
and WORSHIP HIM. The HOLY SPIRIT gives
us eyes to see JESUS on the CROSS as JESUS' field of triumph. There
on the CROSS, He fought (Colossians 2:15) and there He CONQUERED.
There on the CROSS He rode on His Chariot, triumphant when He led
captivity captive and received gifts for men. Yes, He defeated
satan on the CROSS, showing up OPENLY how He defeated His enemy, the
devil. Christ Jesus defeated the principalities and powers on the
CROSS. Satan destroyed most of the Earth of men. The prince of the
power of the air, not happy to be in Hell, invaded Earth, Adam and
Eve, and made them bond SLAVES to him in Eden and forever if JESUS
had not ransomed them and us. MERCY on the CROSS--the ONE who shall
bruise the serpent's head and deliver His Prisoners out of bondage.
He gave us His Power of Attorney; His Name that is above every Name,
on Earth, in Heaven or in the underworld.
JESUS
was born of a Virgin, of the HOLY SPIRIT, lay in a manager; Herod
tried to kill HIM, satan was to be bound one day by this CONQUEROR,
JESUS, this DELIVERER, who at age 30, began to turn the water into
wine, raise the dead, heal the sick, free the possessed of demons,
heal the blind and the deaf and dumb, and the first thing He said
after a 40 day fast, He said it to satan, the one that brought all
the misery of this world, JESUS said, IT
IS WRITTEN. He
told everyone, Repent,
the Kingdom of Heaven is at Hand. HERE,
HERE, HERE, IT IS, ME! That's why when you pray and give back to God the Word like "by His stripes I am healed", that written word heals!
From
the table of communion the REDEEMER arose at midnight and marched
forth to battle. My
Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me.
Revived in strength, made strong by Heaven, never did He utter a
word renouncing His fight. Bloody already from drops of blood
pouring out of Him, He received Judas' kiss; Pilate's spear
glittered ad the lash crossed over JESUS' back for our HEALING. He
was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our
iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His
Stripes we are HEALED.
Isaiah 53:5. On top of Calvary, the place of the SKULL, GOLGOTHA, a
fight of eternity was fought--a triumph of JESUS--the CHAMPION OF THE
CHURCH! He did it all; saved us, healed us, delivered us! All we
have to do is believe and accept His blood for ourselves. See Golgotha, this website.
But
the demons of Hell were roaring from their dens; their poison fangs
in the SAVIOUR'S flesh--OUR SIN, OUR INIQUITIES, OUR TRANSGRESSIONS,
and its offspring, spitting forth its venom on JESUS on THE CROSS.
Death rends its way upon his pale horse--exceeding sorrowful,
even unto death. HELL comes with burning coals and fiery
darts. Darkness covers this battlefield. Like in Egypt it was
darkness that you could FEEL. One MAN, no, One GOD, battling against
principalities and powers of darkness, the battle, terrible--He cried I
THIRST,
THE BATTLE IS ALMOST OVER! IT
IS FINISHED.
Where
are His enemies now? They are all dead. The king of terror,
torment, satan, broken, crawling, serpent writhing in ghastly misery!
SIN IS CUT IN PIECES AND SCATTERED. IT
IS FINISHED
cried the CONQUEROR, JESUS, I
HAVE TRODDEN THE WINEPRESS ALONE...I HAVE TRAMPLED THEM IN MY FURY;
AND THEIR BLOOD IS SPRINKLED UPON MY GARMENT. Isaiah
63.3. He had said to the disciples that there is coming a time when you will ask me NOTHING! Of course not, He had given His Name to us; and at that Name, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess, and at that Name whatsoever we ask the Father for, He will grant it, if we ASK.
Then
He divides the spoil. The spoil is when the
battle is completely won! JESUS totally defeated once and for all
the enemy and put them to retreat. Dividing the spoil of the triumph
of JESUS on the CROSS means first of all that JESUS disarmed all His
enemies. Satan came against JESUS with a sword called the LAW,
dipped in poison of SIN, so that all the wounds the LAW inflicted was
deadly--JESUS dashed this sword out of satan's hand and the prince of
darkness was disarmed. DEATH rose against JESUS but JESUS snatched
the quiver from him, emptied the darts, broke them in two, and now
DEATH HAS THE FEATHER END, no more to destroy the REDEEMED of the
LORD! SIN came against JESUS but He cut satan's armour bearer and
its shield lay dead on the plain like Goliath with it's head cut off.
All enemies totally disarmed. Satan now has nothing left to attack
us. He may attempt to injure us, but because his sword and spear are
utterly taken away, he can never wound us.
In
old battles among the Romans, after the enemy is overcome, it was a
custom to take away all their weapons and ammunition. Afterward
stripped of their armour and garments, their hands tied behind their
backs and made to pass under the yoke--so Christ Jesus defeated sin,
death and hell. He has made them all pass under the yoke, so that
now sin, death and hell, are OUR SLAVES and we, in JESUS, are CONQUERORS
of them. JESUS totally disarming the adversary--this is the FIRST
part of dividing the SPOIL. When the victors divide the spoil, they
carry away all the treasures that belong to the enemies: they
dismantle the fortresses and ransack their storehouses so the enemy
cannot rise again. JESUS did this with the devils and demons. JOY,
PEACE, AND HAPPINESS, satan stole by thrusting us into poverty and
damnation. JESUS took back ON THE CROSS and HIS RESURRECTION, ALL
our inheritances! The hammer of the whole earth is cut asunder and
broken and the waster is made desolate. Once again, "the meek
shall inherit the earth". When victors divide the spoil, its
usual to take all the ornaments--the silver and the gold--from the
enemy. The crown of triumph that satan had on his head "I
overcame the first Adam" JESUS snatched the crown from satan's
brow in that hour. Satan cannot boast of a single victory-- he is
thoroughly defeated. Satan, at first, vanquished MANKIND, but in the
second battle, MANKIND vanquished satan. Satan is no longer the
prince of God's people. His reigning power is gone. All he can do
is TEMPT. Lead
us not into temptation but deliver us from evil--Satan
cannot compel us to sin. He can threaten, he cannot subdue, He is
brought down low! JESUS has broken in sunder the gates of brass
(judgment) and cut the bars of iron (prison). He, JESUS, has broken
the bow and cut the spear asunder (satan has the feather end). JESUS
dashed in pieces our enemies. So let us not be afraid. In JESUS we
have conquered our enemy, the devil. I
am persuaded that neither things present nor things to come, nor
height nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us
from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
If
any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the
Righteous.
If death should threaten you, shout in the devil's face. O
death where is your sting; O grave, where is your victory? Hold
up the CROSS before you. Your MASTER defeated the foe AND took the
spoil, it shall be so with you. The more he attacks, the more your
spoil, our tribulation will work PATIENCE and your patience
EXPERIENCE and your experience HOPE. Fear not, put your feet on
satan's head, the battle is the LORD's and the LORD will DELIVER your
enemies into your hands. Be courageous. You are fighting with a
stingless dragon. His hissing is with teeth broken and poison fangs
extracted. Your MASTER, JESUS, has battle-scarred the devil. The
devil has nothing to protect him; JESUS stripped him naked, and left
him defenceless. Hideous noise and terrible alarms from satan only
means JESUS is the TRIUMPHANT CHAMPION and so are YOU!
A
FRESH NEW KNOWLEDGE OF JESUS AND HIS RESURRECTION:
Philippians
2:9,10,11 Wherefore
God has highly exalted Him and given Him a Name which is above every
Name that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow of things in
Heaven and things in earth and under the earth that Every tongue
confess that JESUS CHRIST is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
EVERY: deeds of land in the whole world acknowledges Jesus: A.D.
When
we have a fresh glimpse of Jesus, Ephesians 1:17-22 That
the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give unto
you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the
eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know the
riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints. And what is
the exceeding greatness of His power to usward who believe according
to the working of His mighty Power which He wrought in Christ when He
raised Him from the dead and set Him at His own right hand in the
Heavenly places. (The
only way that the immeasurable, unlimited, surpassing greatness of
the Power of God was manifested was when He raised Jesus from the
dead!) And in that one stroke of resurrection power, all of the
immeasurable and the unlimited and the surpassing greatness of the
power of God was manifested to the world. That power of God would be
resident in the church, the body of Christ). Verse 21, Far above all
principality, and
power, and might, and dominion and every name that is named, not only
in this world but also in the world which is to come. (He is now
seated on the right hand of the Father). Verse 22, And
has put all things under His feet . We
are not a denomination, we are not an organization, we are the Body
of Christ. Our General Superintendent is Jesus. Get a good look at
Jesus: In Hebrews 10:12-13 But
(Jesus) this
man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on
the right hand of God; from henceforth expecting till His enemies be
made His footstool.
Hebrews 7:24-25 But
this man, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable
priesthood, wherefore He is able to save them to the uttermost that
come unto God by Him, seeing He ever lives to make intercession for
them.
Again,
see Him in Colossians 1:15,16,17 (Today in Heaven on the throne) He
is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by Himself all things
were
created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and
invisible, whether they are thrones, or dominions, or principalities,
or powers;
all
things were created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things
and by Him all things exist.
Colossians
1:18 And
He is the Head of the Body, the church. For it pleased the Father
that in Him should all fullness dwell; (all
the divine fullness, the sum total of the divine perfection, divine
attributes should dwell in Him permanently). We have a Lord, we have
a Saviour, we have a Power that can compare to no other power. This
glory, this majesty, this place of authority and the fantastic thing
about it is that you have inherited it. Philippians 2 says how that
God
highly exalted Him and freely bestowed upon Him a Name which is above
every Name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of
things in Heaven and things in earth and things under the earth and
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the
glory of God the Father.
EVERY means: Everything in Heaven: all the angels, all the
principalities of Heaven, the stars, the moon, the planets,
EVERYTHING bows before Him. Everything on Earth: Incredible divine
plan God had to take all this and give it and intrust it as an
inheritance to His Son. All creation, every living creature, the
elements of nature, governments, everything on this earth, bows
before Him. Everything under the Earth: satan, demons, every
evil principality and rulers and powers of the underworld.
Everything must bow at the Name of Jesus. NOW, NOT JUST IN THE WORLD
TO COME BUT NOW, and in this world Ephesians 1:21.
Colossians
2:15 And
having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them
openly, triumphing over them in it.
(Jesus on the Cross. The devil thought he had won!) Jesus
literally paralyzed satan, He kicked satan in the head! The
Resurrection Power! That Name cannot fail!
Jesus
has never spoken in His own authority: My Father sent me. This is
what I should say! He commands me! This is what I should speak!
Now Jesus is giving you His Name and when the
Holy Spirit comes upon you, you shall be witnesses unto Me both in
Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part
of the earth.
Jesus
saw all the miracles work in the Name of His Father. The blind saw,
the deaf ears were unstopped, the lepers were healed, the winds and
the waves were stopped, and when He spoke, Lazarus came forth from
the dead. Jesus used the Father's Name in every direction and it
never failed. Now, Jesus gives His word to us and it shall NEVER
fail!
John
14:12-14 I
solemnly tell you He that believes on Me, the works that I do shall
he do also, and greater works than these shall he do because I go to
the Father. And whatsoever you shall ask IN MY NAME that will I do
that the Father may be glorified in the Son; if you shall ask
anything IN MY NAME, I will do it. Greater!
Eye
has not seen, earth has not heard, neither has it entered into the
heart of man, the things that God has prepared for him that loves
Him.
John
16:19-22,23 In
a little while you will see Me, now is your time of grief, but I will
see you again and you will rejoice and no one can take away your joy.
And in that day you shall ask me NOTHING.
I
tell you the truth, my Father will give whatever you ask IN MY NAME.
(In that day, after I have risen from the grave, the day after I
defeated satan and stripped him of his power, in that day after I
have broken the power of sin, sickness and death, in that day when I
am exalted above all power and principality, and have a NAME that is
above every name, in that day whatever you shall ask in MY NAME I
will do it. I will back it up, I will make sure it will come to
pass. Church, you are that generation!
